Syria participates in 41st session of Arab Interior Ministers Council

Tunis, SANA-  With the participation of Syria, 41st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council started activities in the Tunisian capital in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Bin Ali Kuman, and a number of Arab Interior Ministers.

The Syrian delegation to the session was headed by Interior Minister, Mohammad al-Rahmoun.

On the sidelines of the meeting, al-Rahmoun held a series of meetings with a number of his Arab counterparts and those responsible for security files in the brotherly Arab countries.

In this context, Minister Rahmoun discussed with the head of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), Major General Ahmed Nasser al-Raisi, topics of common interest and Syria’s participation in the conference.

Al-Rahmoun also met with Libyan Interior minister Imad Trabelsi as the two sides touched on issues of common security and the need to develop relations between the two countries, especially in the security aspect.

Minister Rahmoun reviewed with a number of his counterparts and Arab officials the security situation in the region and Syria’s role in providing its expertise to develop a security strategy that imposes stability and combats terrorism and extremism.
