Cuba: US aggression on Syria and Iraq a blatant violation of international law

HAVANA, SANA-Cuba has condemned US aggression in Syria and Iraq as “violations of the sovereignty and territorial integrity” of the two countries and of the international law.

“Cuba strongly condemns the US aggression against Syria and Iraq, which is a blatant violation of the sovereignty of these countries. These irresponsible actions violate international law, increase the escalation of violence and contribute to the possibility of regional conflict,” Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla said in his account on the X platform.

On Saturday at dawn, the US occupation forces launched a blatant aerial act of aggression on a number of sites and towns in the eastern region of Syria and near the Syrian-Iraqi border, which led to the martyrdom of a number of civilians and soldiers, and the injury of others, in addition to causing significant damage to public and private property.

The aggression also targeted sites in western Anbar Governorate in Iraq, causing many casualties.
