Syria, Mauritania to boost parliamentary relations

Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the people’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, described as “deep and historic” the relations that bind Syria and Mauritania, calling for intensifying joint efforts to develop bilateral parliamentary ties between the two states.

Sabbagh who received Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Damascus, Ahmadu Adi Muhammad al-Radhi on Thursday, hailed stances of Mauritania in support of Syria against terrorist war since 12 years, hoping Mr. al-Radhi would be successful in performing his duties.

The Mauritanian Ambassador, for his part, referred to Syria’s great role that stands by its brotherly Arab countries, appreciating Syria’s hosting of thousands of Mauritanian students who follow their academic education at Syria universities.
