Brasilia, SANA- The Israeli occupation is killing innocent people without any criteria in the Gaza Strip, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva affirmed on Monday.
“Israel drops bombs on places where there are children, such as hospitals, under the pretext of the presence of terrorists there, and this is inexplicable. Women and children must be saved,” AFP quoted Lula da Silva as saying at an official ceremony in Brasilia.
The Brazilian President stressed that the number of women and children killed in Gaza has been unprecedented in such a conflict.
Lula da Silva’s Chief Advisor, Celso Amorim, said last Thursday during a conference in Paris that he supports a “ceasefire” in Gaza, stressing that the killing of thousands of Palestinian children in Israeli bombing shows that what is taking place is “genocide”.
