Damascus countryside, SANA- Cooperation ties and ways of strengthening them in various fields and the implementation of development projects in Syria were the focus of the meeting of the delegation of Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) with Nasr Eddin Al-Obaid, Director-General of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD).
During the meeting, held at the headquarters of ACSAD in the countryside of Damascus, Dr. Al-Obaid, considered that the visit of this delegation, headed by Director General of AOAD, Ibrahim al-Dukhairi, is a translation of the decisions of the Higher Coordination Committee for joint Arab action.
He stressed the need for cooperation and networking mong expert organizations, Arab labor organizations and Arab countries.
Al-Dukhairi reviewed the challenges that prevent the achievement of Arab agricultural development, the most prominent of which are climate changes, especially the desertification and scarcity of water resources.
He pointed to the proposals of ACSAD experts, which open many horizons for cooperation in these issues, and the need to find solutions that address all issues.
Hajj Hassan indicated that this visit will result in activating the Academic Counseling Education Center in Lattakia and viewing several projects of the ACSAD Organization and the Ministry of Agriculture in Syria, which establishes a joint research work and its implementation with Arab countries.
