Lattakia, SANA- Fire brigades in Lattakia province managed to put out a fire that broke out near al-Maghrit town and al-Qanjara dam north of Lattakia city.
Firefighters quickly went to the site of the fire, and were able to control and put out the flames, Commander of the fire brigade, Muhannad Jaafar said in a statement to SANA.
For the fourth day in row, efforts by fire brigades are ongoing to control fires that erupted in several forests and farm lands in Lattakia northern countryside amid a state of full alertness of the cadres in the work sites and field follow-up by the concerned authorities.
Civil defense teams, the Directorate of Agriculture and firefighting brigades from several provinces, supported by units of the Syrian Arab Army and helicopters, participate in extinguishing the fires.
