Geneva, SANA- Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, discussed on Thursday in Geneva with United Nations’ Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen , solutions to the crisis in Syria.
“Talks during the meeting dealt with the continuation of the dialogue between Egypt and the UN about means of solving the crisis in Syria in a gradual manner in line with Jeddah, Oman and the Arab summit latest meetings according to UN Security Council Resolution No. 2254,” the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zaid said.
Shoukry reaffirmed the importance of the Arab role in resolving that crisis from which the Syrian people are still suffering.
