Syria, Saudi Arabia decide to move forwards, promote bilateral relations

Jeddah, SANA-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Fayssal Mikdad met Saudi Arabia’s counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, on the sidelines of preparatory meetings for the Arab Summit.

Following the meeting, Mikdad said “the leaders of Syria and Saudi Arabia have decided to move forward and there’s no step backwards.”

Mikdad said “We have discussed all issues, among of which the preparations for the Arab Summit as we are satisfied with all the work achieved so far on this matter.”

“Upon the directives of the leaderships of the two countries,the bilateral relations will be promoted to the level that serves the interest of the two people,”  Mikdad added.

Mikdad continued “We also discussed the issue of opening the two Embassies in both countries, and Syria and Saudi Arabia will provide all the necessary facilities for the opening of the two embassies.”
