Sabbagh meets AFC President, calls for rebuilding facilities affected by terrorism

Damascus, SANA-Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, discussed with President of the Asian Football confederation (AFC) Sheikh Salamn bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa the efforts exerted to rehabilitate the sports facilities in Syria.

Sabbagh called for enhancing cooperation between the Sports’ and Youth Committee at the people’s Assembly and AFC to rehabilitate the facilities affected by the terrorist acts during the crisis to bring brilliance back to Syrian sports.

Sheikh Salman, for his part, underlined the importance of sports to enable and boost communication among peoples, saying that the AFC seeks to promote football in all Asian countries, including Syria.
