Russian Emergencies Ministry: 10 flights to transport aid for quake-affected people in Syria

Moscow, SANA- The Russian Emergencies Ministry has announced that it had begun transporting 160 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria, to be delivered to those affected by the earthquake that struck the country last February

“At the request of the Syrian embassy in Moscow, and under the directive of Russian President Vladimir Putin, about 10 flights will be organized to transport humanitarian aid to Syria, “the Ministry was quoted by Tass as saying.

The statement noted that the first plane to transport humanitarian aid arrived in Syria.
