A former US intelligence officer admits his country’s inability to defeat Russia

Washington, SANA- Retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter has admitted the inability of the United States to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia, pointing out that the latter’s military superiority far exceeds what America has achieved.

“The United States has lagged far behind Russia in the field of military industries” Russia Today quoted Ritter as saying in an interview with the “Judging Freedom” channel on YouTube, stressing that it is not possible to talk about Russia’s defeat.

Ritter noted that Russia produces weapons and ammunition around the clock, and therefore does not face problems in this field, unlike what the NATO suffers from, wondering what the US military industry has achieved compared to Russia’s achievements in this field.

He slammed the US statements claiming Washington’s ability to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia, saying: “The United States insists, despite its backwardness in the field of military industries, that it is able to achieve a strategic victory over Moscow,” stressing that this is not possible.
