Emirati and Bangladeshi planes, loaded with relief aid, arrive at Damascus Int’l Airport

Damascus, SANA- An Emirati aircraft, loaded with relief aid for those affected by the disastrous quake, arrived at Damascus International Airport on Saturday morning.

‘This Emirati plane is the 13th one arriving in Damascus, as it carried 88 tons of foodstuff and relief aid to help the people affected by the earthquake, Assistant Minister of Local Administration and Environment Dr. Moutaz Douaji told SANA.

Douaji said, in a press statement, that the number of planes arrived at the airports of Aleppo, Lattakia and Damascus along with the one arrived today, has reached to 55 ones, of which 28 planes landed at Damascus International Airport.

He added that the relief aid arrived at Damascus Airport will be shipped to the affected provinces immediately by the relief committee, stressing that the Syrian Government appreciates the solidarity of Arab countries with it during this ordeal.

Also a plane, loaded with 10 tons of foodstuff, tents, blankets and medicines provided by the Republic of Bangladesh arrives at Damascus Airport for the quake-affected people.

It is notable that on Friday evening, three Emirati planes and one another from UNICEF Organization, loaded with relief aid to the affected people, arrived at Damascus Airport.
