In solidarity with Syria, Iranian embassy cancels National Day celebration

Damascus, SANA- In solidarity with Syria and the families of the quake victims, the Iranian embassy in Damascus decided to cancel the celebration on the occasion of Iran’s National Day, which was scheduled to be held in Damascus and Aleppo.

“In sympathy with the Syrian government and people and the families of the victims, the celebration of the National Day of the Iranian Islamic Republic, which was scheduled to be held on February 11th and 12th in Aleppo and Damascus, was canceled,” the embassy said on its Twitter page.

 “We stand by our Syrian brothers in this ordeal,” The embassy added.
