Death toll from the boat incident offshore Tatrous rises to 86

Tartous, SANA- The death toll from the boat incident that sank offshore Tatours rose to 86 after picking up some bodies on Saturday, Director General of Syrian Ports, Samer Qabrousli told SANA.

Meanwhile, Director of Al-Basel Hospital, Dr. Iskandar Ammar, said that procedures for handing over bodies of the victims to their families are ongoing.

The drowned boat set off from Al Minieh area in Tripoli, northern Lebanon last Tuesday, heading for Cyprus. It was carrying people of several nationalities.
