Homs governor underscores role of ICRC to deliver humanitarian aid

Homs, SANA- Homs governor Talal al-Barazi reiterated the government’s readiness to take all necessary measures to facilitate the work of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to offer humanitarian aid in the province.

Al-Barazi praised in a statement following his meeting with Head of the ICRC mission in Damascus Marianne Gasser the ICRC efforts and desire to be a real partner in delivering aid to needy people.

For her part, Gasser affirmed that the organization, in cooperation with Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), continues its mission in delivering relief aid to needy people, noting that the organization seeks to ease the reunion of families torn apart because of the crisis.

She added that ICRC aspires to reach all needy people in Homs and its countryside in cooperation with governmental bodies and SARC to contribute to improving citizen’s conditions.
