Syrian-Iraqi talks to bolster parliamentary and economic cooperation

Cairo, SANA- Deputy Speaker of the people’s Assembly Mohammad Akram al-Ajlani and Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi met on Friday to discuss means to enhance parliamentary and economic cooperation between Syria and Iraq.

This came on the sideline of 32nd conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in Cairo ,as the two sides stressed on the importance of overcoming obstacles which impede upgrading the parliamentary and economic relations.

Al-Ajlani described the meeting as positive , affirming Syria’s readiness to remove all the obstacles , if any.

Al-Halbousi pointed out to the importance of opening the border crossings between the two countries in a way that facilitates the land trips and transit of goods.
