Mikdad: Syria will confront unjust economic and terrorist war imposed on it

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, said that Syria will face, with all force, the unjust terrorist and economic war imposed on it, and all forms of occupation, aggression, US, Turkish and Israeli military and economic terrorism and their violations of the provisions of international law.

The Minister participated in the 45th ministerial meeting of the Group of 77 and China, held virtually in New York.

Mikdad affirmed that Syria is determined to restore all its occupied lands and exercise its constitutional right to protect its citizens and preserve its land by all legitimate means guaranteed by international law, clarifying the importance of solidarity and cooperation within the Group of 77 and China in the interest of “our countries and in support the Syrian State’s efforts of reconstruction and the return to the track of development and prosperity.”

Later, the participant ministers issued a declaration that called  for the immediate and complete withdrawal of Israel, the occupying power, from the occupied Arab lands, including the occupied Syrian Golan.

The declaration condemned decisions and actions that changed Golan’s demographic feature, considering them as null and void that have no legal effect.

It also called for rejecting the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria, which undermine its efforts to achieve its development and prosperity.
