Syrian-Emirati agreement on activating trade exchange

Dubai, SANA- With the aim of supporting trade exchange and economic relations between business communities in Syria and the UAE, the Syrian-Emirati Business Council and Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed a cooperation agreement between the two sides at the Syrian pavilion in “Expo 2020 Dubai”

The agreement stipulates for developing trade, agricultural, industrial and architectural cooperation between both sides, in order to develop entrepreneurship along with focusing on sustainable development, real estate development and renewable energy.

Mohammad Ghazwan al-Masri, Chairman of the Syrian-Emirati Business Council and Khalfan Ahmed Misfer, Chairman of the Directors Board of Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed the agreement in the presence of Dr. Ghassan Abbas, Syria’s Ambassador to the UAE, Commissioner-General of the Syrian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai and Director of Syrian pavilion Eng. Khaled al-Shamaa

This agreement comes on the sidelines of the Syrian participation at Expo Dubai 2020 and after the mutual visits between the Syrian and Emirati sides since the beginning of the exhibition last month.

It is noteworthy that the activities of Syria’s National Day at the exhibition kicked off last Sunday as a part of the National Days of the countries participating in the exhibition.
