Damascus, SANA-People’s Assembly on Monday referred a ministerial financial report on the State’s draft budget law of 2022 to Accounts and Budget Committee to be studied and approved.
During a session which was chaired by Speaker Hammoudah Sabbagh, Finance Minister Kinan Yaghi, said the ministerial financial report on 2022 draft budget concentrates on securing the requirements of the army and the armed forces to reinforce its resilience, and improving the citizen’s livelihood conditions.
“The budget bill for 2022 stipulates reconsidering the subsidies to be distributed for those who deserve them, supporting local production and providing the requirements of the industrial and agricultural sectors,” the Minister added.
Higher Council for Economic and Social Planning approved last month the initial appropriations for the draft state budget of 2022 with SYP/13325/ billion in comparison to SYP /8500/ billion in 2021.
