Delegation of Abkhazia visits the Mariamite Cathedral of Damascus

Damascus, SANA-President of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania and the accompanying delegation visited on Tuesday al-Azm Palace, Khan Asa’ad Basha and the Mariamite Cathedral of Damascus and inspected the spiritual and historic importance of these milestones in old Damascus.

At the Mariamite Cathedral, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Rome Orthodox, John X Yazaji, receiving President Bzhania, said that Syria has withstood thanks to the unity of its people with the Army and Leadership.

He added that Syria witnesses a stage of presidential elections and its people acknowledge their right and duty.

The Abkhaz delegation also opened a representation bureau for the Abkhazian chamber of Trade and Industry in Syria at Dumar Center for Handicraft Arts in Damascus.
