Russian, Qatari, and Turkish statement affirms commitment to Syria Sovereignty

Doha, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and two foreign ministers of Turkish and Qatari regimes, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani affirmed their commitment to preserving the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria.

The three ministers , in a joint statement issued on Thursday and posted on Russian Foreign Ministry website, expressed conviction that there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria, showing commitment to pushing the political process facilitated by United Nations to reach a political solution in accordance with UN Resolution 2254 and Geneva Communiqué of 2012.

They expressed determination to fight terrorism with all its forms and to stand in the face of separatist agendas that undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

The statement also expressed support for the committee of discussing the constitution without any external intervention in its work.
