Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly, ,Hammouda Sabbagh, sent on Wednesday a cable of condolence to family of Arab struggler and intellectual, Anis al-Naqqash, who passed away on Monday morning in Damascus.
Sabbagh said in the cable “with deep sorrow, we received news of the demise of the Arab thinker and resistant, al-Naqqash ,” reminding of the late courageous and principled stances against the projects and schemes hostile to Arab issues and rights.
Al-Naqash, who passed away on the morning of February 22 in a hospital in Damascus at the age of 70, was known for his patriotic stances in support of Syria and the Palestinian cause.
