Corona infections curve decline, health Ministry warns of any indolence in preventive measures

Damascus, SANA- The curve of recorded infections with the Coronavirus in Syria declined during the current week, after it has witnessed a noticeable rise in the middle of this month, with the largest number of infections that hit 169 ones on the 18th of the month according to the Health Ministry statistics.

According to the daily statistics published by the Ministry of Health, the peak of the curve of infections with the Coronavirus has increased since the beginning of this month from less than a hundred cases per day until it reached its climax on December 18th to about 169 infections, then the daily recorded numbers began to witness a gradual decline as the number of infections remained between 100 and 110 during the last week.

Director of Ambulance and Emergency Department at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Hasaba told SANA that it is very important for everyone to adhere to preventive measures, stressing that the decrease in the number of recorded infections does not mean being indolent in taking the procedures to confront the virus at all, particularly in the crowded places or during the celebration of New Year’s Eve.
