Homs, SANA- Farmers in Homs province continue harvesting pistachio crop for the current season which started several days ago, amid expectations of producing about 870 tons.
Speaking to SANA reporter, the farmer Moufid Mohsen noted that he had replaced the cultivation of almond trees with pistachio in his land for being more resistance to dry and thirst in addition to giving a good economic return.
Pistachio is planted in Homs and Idleb provinces also.
