Moscow, SANA-The Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov unveiled that questions regarding terrorists’ training camps on the Turkish soil will be raised during forthcoming talks between the Russian President and his Turkish counterpart in Ankara.
Kremlin’s media bureau announced Tuesday that the Russian President is to visit Turkey on December 1 to discuss with Turkish officials a wide range of issues, chief among them is bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, economy and energy.
“I believe the question of the camps will be brought up during the talks,” Ushakov told reporters.
“It is rather logical that the Syrian situation will be one of the most important issues during the talks in the narrow format when international issues are expected to be considered,” he said.
“I believe that we’ll exchange views in all details, including due to the recent trip to Sochi by the Syrian foreign minister. Now I’d not like to go into concrete details. But Syria will be discussed in every detail. This is one of the priority problems for Moscow and Ankara,” Ushakov said.
Differences between Russia and Turkey over political issues have strained relations, particularly as regards the crisis in Syria which remains a sticking point between the two sides.
Russia insists on rejecting foreign meddling in the Syrian domestic affairs, and this is where it diverges with Turkey which is allowing tens of thousands of terrorists who have poured from all over the world to sneak across its shared borders with Syria, further aggravating and prolonging the crisis there.
