Health Ministry: Lockdown on Jdaidet al-Fadl town lifted

Damascus, SANA – The Health Ministry announced on Saturday that the lockdown on Jdaidet al-Fadl town in Quneitra province was lifted after conducting comprehensive medical swabs to assess the state of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the town, as the results were negative.

On June 17th, the Ministry registered the first death caused by the Coronavirus in Jdaidet al-Fadl town, in a case involving a 70-year-old woman, and the investigation teams were immediately dispatched to collect swabs for those who had been in close contact with the deceased, and applied quarantine on four buildings in parallel with working to reduce gatherings and crowds.

On June 20th, Jdaidet al-Fadl town was subjected to a full lockdown after registering several cases of Coronavirus in order to prevent the outbreak of the virus.
