Damascus Countryside, SANA – Local Administration and Environment Minister Hussein Makhlouf, Health Minister Nizar Yazigi, and Damascus Countryside Governor Alaa Munir Ibrahim inspected the quarantine center in Herjalleh, Damascus Countryside.
The center will include 475 apartments, each consisting of two rooms and a kitchen, in order to accommodate Syrians coming from abroad who will remain there for 14 days to ascertain that they are health and not infected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Ministers and the Governor also inspected the marketplace which was opened two days ago in al-Kisweh town to provide produce and products to citizens at reasonable prices, as they are procured directly from the producers to the consumers.
The marketplace has an area of 3000 square meters and located in the center of the town, and is provided with all the necessary services including free transportation and occupancy.
In addition, a volunteer team was formed to monitor commitment to measures related to public health and combating the Coronavirus.
In a statement, Minister Makhlouf said these new marketplaces which are being set up in several provinces have garnered positive reactions from citizens as their prices are at least 30% lower than other markets.
In turn, Governor Ibrahim said that 10 of these marketplaces have been opened in the province so far, and more will be built in other areas.
