Syria, Cuba to enhance trade and economic relations

Havana, SANA- Syria’s Ambassador to Cuba, Idris Mayya, discussed on Thursday with President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba, Antonio Carricarte, means of enhancing trade relations between the two countries.

During a meeting held at the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba in Havana, Carricarte stressed the need for expanding economic relations and trade exchange between Cuba and Syria to promote up to the remarkable bilateral political relations, particularly as the two countries are linked by strong friendship and historic relation.

Ambassador Mayya, for his part, affirmed that the two countries have willingness to strengthen economic relations, especially during the current circumstances to which both countries are passing through because of the coercive economic measures imposed by the US on them.
