Rain falls in most Syrian provinces, temperatures drop

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop, yet remain above average in the coastal area and around average in other areas as the country is affected by a low air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Saturday bulletin that the weather will be cloudy in general, rain showers accompanied with thunder are expected over different areas across the country, particularly over the southern and western parts of the country.

The winds will be eastern to northeastern between low and medium in speed, while the sea waves will be low in amplitude.

Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform said in its rain bulletin that rain fell in a number of Syrian provinces during the last 24 hours as the heaviest rainfall amounts were 75 mm in Lattakia.

Rain amounts reached 52 mm in Damascus and its countryside, 48 mm in Sweida, 20 mm in Daraa, 34 mm in Quneitra, 25 mm in Homs, 2 mm in Hama, and 29 mm in Tartous.

The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 21/11, Daraa 23/12, Homs 2/08, Hasaka 24/08, Lattakia 26/16, Aleppo 22/10 and Deir Ezzor 25/09.
