Czech Republic calls for urgent measures to prevent Turkish aggression on Syrian territories  

Prague, SANA- Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis called for taking urgent measures to prevent the Turkish aggression against the Syrian territories, warning that if this aggression is launched, its consequences will affect the European states also.

“Europe should be more active in this domain and it should seek to solve the situation,” Babis said, considering that priority should be given for the talks and for solving the crisis in Syria through peaceful ways.

For his part, Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek called upon the Turkish regime to respect it obligations according to the international and humanitarian law.

Petricek expressed concern that the establishment of the so-called “Safe Zone” will lead to the deterioration of the situations , renewing his country’s support to finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria.

He warned that any Turkish aggression against the Syrian territories will pose a threat to all hopes on reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria.
