Egypt calls for holding Erdogan accountable for his crimes in supporting terrorism in Syria

Cairo, SANA- Egypt has called on the international community to hold President of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan accountable for his crimes, particularly supporting terrorism in Syria and the region and providing terrorists with the arms and safe shelter in a flagrant violation of the Security Council’s resolutions , as well as his crimes against his people.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmad Hafez expressed, in a statement  on Wednesday his country’s censure on Erdogan’s determination to continue his allegations through issuing flimsy statements on defending the values of justice in a time when these statements are full of hatred and malignance towards Egypt and its people.

Hafez pointed out that Erdogan’s regime has backed  the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group and its member and it has provided the political support and media outlets for them with the aim of promoting their destructive mentality in Egypt and the region as a whole.

He noted that Erdogan’s support for terrorism in Syria has led to shedding the blood of the brotherly Syrian people, in addition to facilitating the entrance of terrorists and gunmen to the countries of the region, Europe, Africa, and Asia in order to destabilize the region and to spread their extremist ideology.

He expressed Egypt condemnation to Erdogan’s continued interference in the internal affairs of a number of the region’s countries with the aim of destabilizing them and imposing hegemony on the region, criticizing his blatant violations against the Turkish people.
