General Foreign Trade Organization to expand import and export departments

Damascus, SANA – A decision was made to expand the import and export departments at the General Foreign Trade Organization, and to establish cooperation between them and the Syrian Trading company.

This came during a meeting at the Prime Minister’s office chaired by Premier Imad Khamis on Saturday, during which the Organization was granted a loan of SYP 50 billion to expand importation.

The meeting also tasked the Organization with revitalizing the exportation of local products, particularly cement, pharmaceuticals, barley, porcelain products, and handicrafts, in addition to tasking it with establishing an incentives system for its employees and training them.
