A child, two women killed while extinguishing fires in agricultural lands, Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA- A child and two women were killed after sustaining first degree burns while they were participating in extinguishing fire that erupted in agricultural lands, west of Ras al-Ain in Hasaka countryside.

SANA reporter in Hasaka said that fires erupted in the southwestern countryside of Ras al-Ain claiming the lives of a child and two women while they were participating in extinguishing the fires which extended to the houses in the villages of al-Hwaish, al-Salihyia and al-A’li.

The reporter added that the fires have caused huge material damages as they consumed about 1500 dunums of the harvested paddies and those which have not been harvested in the area.

In mid-June, 6 persons, including a woman and a child were killed and others were injured while they were participating in extinguishing fires which have recently erupted in the agricultural lands, southeast of al-Jawadyia town.

The US-backed militias of Qasad and Asayish commit arson to exert pressure on the peasants to prevent them from handing over their crops to the grain centers which had been opened by the state in Hasaka as thousands of dunums of lands which were cultivated with wheat and barley have been burnt.
