Al-Zaytouna…village surrounded by pine forests in Lattakia Countryside

Lattakia, SANA_ Al-Zaytouna, in Lattakia northern countryside, is situated 39 km from the city center and encircled by pine forests which cover  the surrounding mountains.

The village is characterized by an old cave and a spring of fresh water that dates back more than 200 years.

There is also a dam to gather water of the rain and springs that flow from the mountains to be used by the villagers to irrigate crops.
