Beirut, SANA_ The Syrian teams have achieved advanced positions in the 5th annual Arab robotics competition that kicked off at the Faculty of Science of Lebanese University on Sunday.
In the university projects competition, the Agribot team no. /608/ from the Excellence and Creativity Commission ranked second while al-Baath University team came third.
In robot Sumo in design and programming, the Informatics Society team in Homs came second .
In the MacX International competition, the Genius team ranked first while it occupied the third place in the robot race.
The officials and supervisors of the participants Syrian teams gained the honorary shields.
13 Syrian teams participated in Beirut 5th annual International Robotics competition.
165 teams from different states of the world participated in the 8-hour competition .
The Excellence and Creativity Commission said in a statement that this competition is considered the largest in terms of the number of participant Arab teams.
Earlier, 67 teams from Syria and Lebanon competed in the 5-hour 5th National Robotics Competition which was held in Damascus last March 16, in cooperation with the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology and the Lebanese Kalimat Association for Robot Training (E-Robot) .
