Aleppo, SANA – People of Ayn al-Arab City to the northeast of Aleppo northern province continue to defend their city against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists’ attacks as fierce clashes took place in different parts of the city.
Sources in the city said that the defense units assumed control of large parts of al-Sinaa neighborhood in the eastern part of the city.
The sources pointed out that fierce clashes took place between the defense units and the ISIS terrorists in Caniyeh Urban and Mukataleh neighborhoods to the east of the city.
Earlier, the source said that an armored car bomb was destroyed before detonating it by the terrorists.
In a relevant context, a field source in the city said that more than 3000 civilians are still besieged near Tal Sha’ir and in the western parts of the city and are suffering miserable humanitarian situation.
The source added that ISIS terrorists set fire to a number of the civilians’ houses in the eastern part of the city.
French Liberation newspaper on Monday lauded the resilience of Ayn al-Arab’s people in the face of the terrorist attacks launched by the ISIS terrorists.
On Sunday, sources in the city said that the defense units confronted another attack on the city and foiled the ISIS terrorists’ attempt to control the northern neighborhood of the city.
The sources added that the battles on the southern-eastern part of the city resulted in the killing of 7 terrorists.
