20 tons of medical aid provided by WHO arrive in Qamishli Airport

Hasaka, SANA- A shipment embracing 20 tons of medical aid provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday arrived in Qamishli Airport.

Director of WHO Office in Qamishli Dr. Khaled al-Khaled told SANA that the shipment came in framework of the exerted efforts for providing more health needs to the affected locals in the northeastern provinces.

Al-Khaled indicated that the shipment includes basic medicines for the primary health care and the common and chronic diseases, in addition to emergency kits and some medical equipment such as dialysis devices, electrocardiographs and other medical requirements that will be later distributed among hospitals and health centers.

He added that the WHO in cooperation with the Social Affairs and Labor Ministry have supplied a number of civil societies working in the medical domain with mobile clinics with the aim of supporting the services of health care provided to the affected people in Hasaka, Deir Ezzor and Raqqa countryside.
