Moscow, SANA – The Syrian army tank crew gave adorable performance in the 1st stage of Tank Biathlon Contest, the major event of the International Army Games 2018.
The military commentator, who supervised the competitions, described the Syrian team as one of the teams which possess immense combat skills.
Head of the Syrian army team to the competitions, Colonel Mohammed Taqla, told SANA reporter in Moscow that he is proud of Syria’s participation in Russia’s Int’l Army Games, noting that the Syrian soldiers are real warriors who fought fierce battles against terrorism.
Participating soldiers expressed hope that they would achieve good results and raise the Syrian flag in this international military event.
The ‘tank biathlon’ is a military discipline which aims at testing the crews’ driving skills and shooting accuracy. Teams from 23 states are taking part in this event. Each team consists of 21 soldiers, divided into 4 crews. The first stage winners will qualify to the second stage.
