The army liberates an area of 4500 km in al-Badiyah after series of operations against Daesh

Damascus, SANA-The army has liberated an area of 4500 km in the depth of al-Badiyah following a series of wide military operations against Daesh terrorist organization in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, Homs and Damascus.

Units of the Syrian Arab army established control on large areas in al-Badiyah to the east of Palmyra in Homs countryside reaching the Syrian, Iraqi borders.

A military source told SANA on Wednesday that the army units, in cooperation with the allied forces, continued their military operations against Daesh terrorist organization along a front with 45 km width and 60 km depth.

The source added that the operations ended up with controlling several hills, wells and regions, to make the whole eastern region safe with 2500 km area reaching Deir Ezzor countryside.

It went on to say that the army also retook many strategic hills in Damascus southern countryside.
