International Conference of News Agencies kicks off in Pakistan

Islamabad, SANA – The International Conference of News Agencies (ICNA) kicked off on Sunday in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, with the participation of the Syrian Arab News Agency.

The 2-day conference will discuss challenges facing journalists in terms of communication, cooperation, and news sources, in addition to methods of facilitating faster media exchange in order to provide access to accurate information in light of the fast growth of social media, which spreads imprecise or misleading information.

20 national news agencies from Arab and foreign countries are participating in the ICNA. It coincides with the 70th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
