Syria, Iraq discuss legal and judicial cooperation

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Justice Hisham al-Shaar discussed with Charge d’ Affairs at the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus, Riad Hassoun Al-Taie means of boosting Syrian-Iraqi cooperation in legal and judicial domains.

Al-Shaar stressed the importance of signing the three draft judicial agreements prepared by the two sides on criminal issues, extradition, civil affairs, personal status matters as well as the liquidation of inheritance, after setting a date for further discussions in this regard.

For his part, al-Taie indicated to the several memos of understanding between Syria and Iraq in different sectors such as economy, education and health, highlighting the importance of holding talks to discuss these draft agreements as soon as possible.
