Berlin, SANA- German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel affirmed the need to realize security and stability in Syria through political means.
“Following the success achieved in fighting Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization, Syria needs to take other steps on the road to stability and peace, and the new military confrontations are the last thing it needs,”Deutsche Welle website quoted the Minister as saying.
He added that efforts of all should focus on making a progress on the political level, affirming that this will be at the top of the agenda of the next round of Syrian talks, which will be held on Thursday and Friday in Vienna.
Commenting on the Turkish aggression on Afrin area, Gabriel expressed his country’s concern about “what is going on northern Syria.”
