Damascus, SANA- Setting an integrated work strategy for work of the Syrian Commission for Family and Population Affairs related to childhood, women, youth and the elderly and their executive mechanisms, were discussed during a meeting held Saturday between Prime Minister, Imad Khamis, and the Commission’s Board of Directors.
The networking with all ministries and public and private sectors, the role of the Commission in the domain of implementing human development strategy and building human as the core of the humanitarian development in light of the repercussions of the terrorist war on the Syrian citizen were also on the table.
Participants in the meeting underlined the importance of conducting a comprehensive assessment of all workers at the Commission and setting indicators in line with the social role of the Commission.
They called for forming a work team from governmental bodies to support the Commission’s projects and the media promotion for it and to make regular reports on its programs and submit them to the human development committee and the Cabinet to be discussed and implemented.
The participants also affirmed that the plan of the Commission should include the self-empowerment of citizens and holding surveys, in addition to reviewing the economic structure of the Commission.
