Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop to become below average as the country is affected by low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a cold and wet air mass.
Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy and rainy at intervals, while heavy rainfalls accompanied by thunder sometimes and snow are expected to fall over the high mountains.
The wind will be easterly to southeasterly with a moderate speed while the sea waves will be medium to high in height.
Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in several Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Damascus 12mm, Hama 4.5 mm, Tartous 25.9 mm, Baniyas 60 mm, Lattakia 77.4 mm, Aleppo 1mm, Daraa 5mm, Sweida 5 mm, and Quneitra 28.5 mm.
The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 9/6, Daraa 10/7, Homs 9/5, Lattakia 12/10, Aleppo 8/5 and Deir Ezzor 11/6.
