Temperatures to drop, rain showers expected

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop, yet they will remain slightly above average as the country is still affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a cold and wet air mass.

Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes, and rain showers will continue to fall over different areas across the country.

At night, the weather will be cold and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy, and fog is expected in the early morning at al-Qalamoun and some inland areas.

The wind will be southerly to southwesterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be medium in height.

Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in a number of the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Damascus Countryside 15 mm, Daraa 23 mm, Hama 8mm, Tartous 34 mm, Lattakia 35 mm and Aleppo 3 mm.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/6, Daraa 14/5, Homs 16/4, Lattakia 18/12, Aleppo 13/6 and Deir Ezzor 16/ 7.
