Stages of implementation of al-Razi regulation project area discussed

Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Imad Khamis held a meeting on Saturday with members of the ministerial committees assigned to follow up on the implementation of Project 66 to regulate al-Razi housing area.

The discussions focused on the implementation stages of the project and the achieved steps during the current year, and the work plan set for the year 2018, which would serve as a model for many of the reconstruction projects in Syria.

The discussions also concentrated on the mechanisms of tackling obstacles facing the implementation of the project 66, including providing gas and electricity lines and the necessary funding to finish the infrastructure in it.

The targeted area covers 2.149 million square meters. It includes 12,000 housing units that can accommodate approximately 60,000 people.

The project provides 110,000 employment opportunities and 27,000 permanent jobs.

The area will include parks and commercial, investment, and administrative buildings, including two health centers, a fire station, 17 schools, a kindergarten, five places of worship, and a multi-story car park.
