Arms and advanced communication means, left by Daesh, found in Deir Ezzor and Homs

Deir Ezzor, SANA – Syrian Army units found on Thursday arms and ammunition, left by Daesh (ISIS) terrorists in a number of Deir Ezzor neighborhoods.

SANA reporter said that the army, while combing some neighborhoods, discovered quantities of arms and ammunition left by Daesh before liberating the city from the terrorists.

The reporter added that the arms included machine guns, local-made shells, different ammunition, communication sets, explosive belts and bombs.

Weapons and ammunition seized in Daesh hideouts in Homs countryside

Meanwhile, the army seized large amounts of weapons and ammunition in Daesh hideouts while combing a number of villages in the eastern countryside of Homs province.

SANA reporter in the province stated that the army units found large amount of weapons and ammunition in Daesh hideouts while conducting combing operation in liberated areas in order to cleanse them and dismantle explosive devices and landmines.

The seized weapons included 1200 120-mm mortars, a 37-mm cannon, a 12.7-mm machinegun and 3 mortar launchers, anti-tank mines, high explosive materials, 7 Malyutka missiles, 68 local-made rocket shells, explosive belts and 100 mortar valves.
