Damascus, SANA- The Syrian Arab Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project affirmed on Sunday that Al-Quds (Jerusalem) will remain the capital of the state of Palestine.
During a regular meeting chaired by Mohammad Mustafa Miro, the Committee said that the US President’s insistence on his decision to recognize Al-Quds as the capital of the Zionist entity despite the Arab and Islamic opposition to this is a challenge for all Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, all the free people of the world, and the international community.
The Committee also condemned the US intervention in northern Syria and the hostile Turkish project in Syria and Iraq.
The Syrian Arab Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project was established in 2001 after the second Intifada in order to provide humanitarian assistance from the Syrian people to the Palestinians in the occupied territories.
