Armed groups fire mortar shells on Damascus, leaving two injured

Damascus, SANA – The armed groups renewed their violation of the agreement of the de-escalation zone in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus by targeting al-Zablatani area with several mortar shells.

A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that the armed groups “fired today afternoon four mortar shells that landed near the Directorate of Transport in al-Zablatani area, injuring two people and causing damage to public and private property.”

Since its signing last July, the armed groups have repeatedly violated the agreement of the de-escalation zone through attacking residential neighborhoods in Damascus.
