Homs, SANA – A civilian was killed and two others were injured on Friday in al-Rastan area to the north of Homs city, in a new violation of the de-escalation zone agreement.
SANA reporter in Homs said that the armed groups positioned in Ein Hussein al-Janoubi village in al-Rastan countryside targeted citizens’ houses with shells and machineguns, claiming the life of one person and injuring two others.
Earlier this month, an agreement was reached to join the northern city of Homs to the de-escalation zones in Syria.
The reporter added that army units responded with appropriate weapons to the sites from which the shells and the firing were launched.
